It was another cold snowy day. David was working his tail off for another 5th grade project due tomorrow. Which is probably a snow day anyway. But Davids mom said he had to finish it. Before doing anything else.
When David finished David went outside. Kids started pelting him with snowballs.
"Oh that just great"David said. Even though a lot of them missed. The snow was at least one foot but you could see patches of grass every where because of the kids. There was a tree that could easily be climbed but it was covered in snow and ice. But David didn't care he climbed the armed with snow balls anyway. Kids started marching around the tree.
"David get down from there! I told you not to climb that tree there's ice every where up there!" Yelled Davids mom. David started climbing down then he slipped. The kids started laughing at him.
David went inside and sat on the green couch with a ice pack on his head. After a couple hours he fell asleep.
When David woke up his mom said "get in the car" David got in the car and after a while his mom shoved him out of the car. she drove away. David had a backpack with him but when he looked inside it didn't have his school stuff in it. There was a note that said go to 4765 wake street in Wisconsin. After David read the note a man started running after him.
"get in the car" he yelled. David remembered there was a guy on the lose. David turned into a dead end. It smelled bad there was a slimy dumpster that you could jump on to get over the wall. David jumped on top of it and he made it over the wall the man said got away and david knew he was safe again kinda of.
David found a bike at the other side he jumped on it and peddled away he could tell he was some what close to Wisconsin now so David had his dinner it was pitch black. So David went to sleep. When David woke up he was really hungry. But he had no more food there was a store near by . So David went in. He had $20 o he could buy at least something.
When David got outside the man was standing at the door. David was running as fast as he could there was no where he could hide. David saw a ice clump. He thought he could make him trip and he would get a head start. David jumped over the ice clumped. It worked. David found another one. He was getting more of a lead now . David tripped him again this time. David got away and the man stopped chasing him. When David went asleep he made sure he was hidden. In the morning David had breakfast and then he went on through a busy city. There were cars every where so David made sure no one could see him. Soon he saw a sign it read Welcome to Wisconsin. David knew he was almost there.
"At least I'm in Wisconsin" said David. David didn't know where wake street even was. Now he got to more of a neighborhood part. Where there was nice gardens. Plus there was more room between the houses. David kept walking. Looking at the street signs very closely. "Wake street I found it! 4765 I found it!" yelled David. David ran up the drive way and knocked on the door
"Who is it?" said a nice man.
"Um. David" Said David.
"I haven't seen you in a while. Come in" The man said. Then David knew that he was his dad! David went in.
Months later David meet new friends at his new school.

After looking at these two versions of our Flag, explain the symbolism you see in "White Flag". Is it different than in the red, white, and blue flag? Does it make you see the flag differently? Why or why not?
white flag is old but the red white and blue flag is new the white makes me feel kinda sad like the flag got whiter for all the people who fought in war

Plant Project
Habitat:
The temperate rainforest is where the giraffe plant lives. The temperate rainforest isn't to hot or cold for the seasons. The soil is low in nutrients. Condensations from fog also add dampness. large evergreen trees can grow up to 300 feet tall in the temperate.
Description:
The Giraffe plant is 3 feet tall and the flower is 6 inches tall. The Giraffe plant is a bright orange color. The Giraffe plant has 4 leaves that grow off the stem. The Giraffe plant is a herbaceous plant. The Giraffe plant has short roots. The Giraffe plant's stem is long and skinny.
Adaptations:
The Giraffe plant's adaptations are
Cool temperatures lead to slow decomposition but seedlings grow on nurse logs to take advantage of the nutrients from the decomposing fallen logs.
Smooth or waxy flower speed the run off of water.
Life cycle pollination and disperses seeds:
The giraffe plant is a biennial plant. The Giraffe plant life cycle goes germination then the seed starts to sprout. Then maturation when the roots and the stem and the flower grow. Then it goes dormant for the winter. After that it goes reproduction when then plant sets seeds. How the Giraffe plant gets pollinated is by animals. They get pollen on their body and rub it off on the stigma. How the Giraffe plant disperses seeds is by wind. The seeds are light in weight so they can get blown away in the wind.
Hannah, Your work here looks really good. You may want to try to add a few more details about the roots of your plants in the description part. Also be careful with capital letters, I noticed a few errors.

Homes
The homes that Delaware indians live in are called wigwams and longhouses. The wigwam is small and easy to build. Longhouses are can be up to 150 feet long 20 feet wide and 20 feet high. Wigwams are usually 8-10 feet tall. Longhouse fit 60 people! Wigwams are perfect for staying in one place not very long. But longhouses are for long stays. Wigwams are kinda roundish and made of bark, grass and animal skin. If you lived in a longhouse you can have more of your family members live there.
Culture
Another name for the Delaware indians is the Len-ape which means the people. They were also called the grandfathers. The Turtle the Turkey and the Wolf are the three groups of Delaware indians. Chiefs of a tribe would wear a headdress made of feathers. When people married a boy gave a girl a bone to symbolize he will hunt. A girl gave a boy a corn ear symbolizing she will farm.
Location
The Delaware indians lived in New Jersey. They traveled through New york and Pennsylvania to get to the southern part of Ohio. Some lived in the eastern part of Ohio. Near the Muskingum river. When they did travel it was usually a forced travel. Some Delaware indians are lived near the Auglaize river. In the northwestern part of Ohio. they also were forced to Indiana then Illinois Arkansas then Texas .
What Happened
The delaware indians were forced to give there land. They moved to the Mississippi river then Oklahoma. Today there are some Delaware indians in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. There are about 16,000 Delaware indians left today.
Conclusion
I learned a lot studying the delaware indians. I hope you had as much reading my report as I did learning.
